Look Up

Look Up

There is a star in the night sky.

It shines out in the darkness

brighter than the other stars.

It beckons you to follow.

Look up.

It will lead you.

Guide you.

Light your way.

The way of truth

The way of life.

The way of mercy.

The way of goodness.

Look up.

Find your way

in the dark night.

Across dry deserts.

Through busy cities.

Down long, twisted roads.

To a stable in Bethlehem

where new life begins.

To Jesus.

Look up.

John Henry Hopkins Jr.

O Star of wonder, star of light.

Star with royal beauty bright.

Westward leading, still proceeding.

Guide us to thy Perfect Light.

Matthew 2:9-10

After they had heard the king,

they went on their way,

and the star they had seen

when it rose went ahead of them

until it stopped over

the place where the child was.

 When they saw the star,

they were overjoyed.
