Suit Up - From More Strength

Suit Up

Today, wake up

and put on your armor.

There is a battle around you.

You need protection.

Think about what your armor looks like:

shiny metal of an old knight,

leather and metal of a Roman warrior,

flack vest of a modern soldier.

Imagine yourself putting it on.

A helmet. A breastplate.

A shield. A belt.

Feel God’s protection covering you.

You are strong in God’s armor.

Suit up spiritually each morning.

Ephesians 6:10-11

Finally, be strong in the Lord

and in his mighty power.

Put on the full armor of God

so that you can take your stand

against the devil’s schemes.

Saint Augustine

When God is our strength,

it is strength indeed;

when our strength is our own,

it is only weakness.
