Small Graces

Small Graces

Practice small graces.

Small acts of kindness

and forgiveness.

Small graces prepare us

for bigger graces.

Grace to the one who:

Took your parking space.

Left the milk out.

Didn’t text back.

Sang off key.

Didn’t open the door.

Didn’t close the door.

Cut in line.

Ate the last donut.

Forgot your name.

Sat in your chair.

Practice forgiveness.

You may need it too.

***

J. R. R. Tolkien

I have found that it is

the small everyday deed of ordinary folks

that keep the darkness at bay.

Small acts of kindness and love.

***

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind and compassionate

to one another,

forgiving each other,

just as in Christ God

forgave you.
