The old year is behind you almost done. A new year stretches ahead. Invite Jesus to sit with you.

Jesus will save the world. He will walk on water. He will heal lepers. He will even save you. But right now He is just a tiny baby.

Today when you see animals, remember the stable, the waiting, the watching. For God so loved the world that He gave us Jesus.

Maybe you will take love, compassion for others, peace, a grateful heart. Maybe leave comparison, despair, stress, anger, hate.

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”

Let the green of pine remind you that God has a plan for your faith. You are growing.

I am coming. Prepare a place for me—in your heart.

Take time out often today just to be with God: still, loved, filled, known, cherished.

Look back across the years and fill your table with love. Imagine each one you love present for you.

How gently the tree lets go. What do you need to release? Just as the tree releases its leaves, let it go.

Grief is a journey from mourning to healing. A journey starts with a decision. It begins with the first step - a choice to move forward.
